Neighborhood Events Committee

Fairfax Station is a wonderful place to live for many reasons, including the social activities that are planned throughout the year by the Neighborhood Events Committee. Below are a few of the ongoing activities.

If you are interested in joining this committee, please contact Nancy Hoyler at rhoyler@cox.net. The committee is always looking for new members!

Social Hour at the HOA Annual Meeting

Neighbors joined for fellowship and food at the Social Hour which was held prior to the November 10th FSHOA Annual Homeowners Meeting at the Fairview Elementary School. Pizza, dessert and drinks were available. This was a great opportunity to gain valuable information about the neighborhood and FSHOA operations. It was great to see all those who were able to attend!

    A SPOOKTACULAR PARTY!

For the 2nd year, the Fairfax Station HOA and Fairfax Station Swim and Tennis Club (FSSTC) teamed up to host a spooktackular party on Monday, October 31st in the pool area. Little (and big!) goblins came in costume to enjoy hotdogs, drinks and music. Each family provided a dish to share and stayed for hours as children canvassed the neighborhood collecting their treats. This was a fantastic event jointly sponsored by HOA and FSSTC. Many thanks to the volunteers who coordinated activities!

Neighbors gathered Halloween party held at the Fairfax Station Swim and Tennis Club in partnership with the HOA Neighborhood Events Committee.

Welcoming New Neighbors at the Annual Open House

New residents were welcomed to the neighborhood at the annual Wine and Cheese Open House, which was held on September 25th at Ann and Ron Marlow's house. This was a great opportunity for new families to meet each other, HOA board members, the Neighborhood Events Committee members (who organized this and other neighborhood activities during the year) and some established neighbors. More than 50 people, including children, attended, and everyone had an enjoyable time.

Neighbors socialized at the annual Wine and Cheese Open House held in September.

Guests enjoyed sweet and savory delights at the annual Wine & Cheese Open House

Neighbors Enjoy FSHOA Annual Egg Hunt

The Fairfax Station HOA Annual Egg Hunt was held on Saturday, March 26. About 100 frolicking children and their families enjoyed a beautiful afternoon at Sangster Station as they decorated bags with stickers and stamps, competed in an egg roll contest, and hunted for more than 600 hidden eggs. Eggs were filled with candy and prizes that were prepared by the FSHOA Neighborhood Events Committee. Children were divided into age groups to search for eggs. All children went home with goodies in hand and the adults enjoyed socializing with friends and neighbors. Thank you to the volunteers that made this event possible and a big thanks to event chair Cheryl Anderson.
